Former U.S. President Barack Obama arrived in Kenya, on Sunday for the first time since leaving office in 2017.
After landing in the capital, Obama met President Uhuru Kenyatta at the official residence, according to Kenyatta's twitter account.
The Associated Press reported that the former president had arrived in Kenya, where his late father was born.
"Thank you Former President of USA Barack Obama for visiting and making a long stay of 8 days to our lovely country Tanzania", said Mr Msigwa in his twitter post.
