This is the 26th Anniversary of the National Association of Letter Carriers' Stamp Out Hunger Food Drive, the largest one-day food drive in America.
To participate in the drive, postal customers can leave food donations in a bag next to their mailboxes.
Oklahomans across the state are being asked to help care for those in need and "Stamp Out Hunger" later this month.
The Postal Drive is the biggest food drive of the year for the Branford Food Pantry on Harrison Avenue; nationwide, the drive yields as much as 70 million pounds of food annually.
Led by letter carriers represented by the National Association of Letter Carriers (AFL-CIO), with help from rural letter carriers, other postal employees and other volunteers, the drive has delivered more than one billion pounds of food the past 22 years.

Locally, Reasors, Warehouse Market, Wal-Mart and area banks have contributed their resources in the past to assist the letter carriers on this annual drive.
Carriers will bring the food to local food banks, pantries or shelters.
