There was an explosion Thursday at an oil refinery in Wisconsin that resulted in "multiple casualties", a local Fox affiliate reported.
Superior Fire Chief Steve Panger said the fire was out by 11:20 a.m., although smoke could still be seen rising from the plant.

City and county officials also said that everyone who lived or worked within 10 miles south of the fire also should evacuate due to the potentially toxic nature of the spreading smoke plume. More black smoke shot into the sky and police gave evacuation orders at 1 p.m. for homes and businesses within a one-mile radius of the refinery.
Superior is a city of about 27,000 people that borders Minnesota to the north and the tip of Lake Superior.
