The 161-page complaint, filed by the Dhillon Law Group in Santa Clara Superior Court, is on behalf of the two men. Women at Google, Uber, Twitter Inc. and Microsoft Corp. are seeking class-action status in lawsuits accusing those companies of favoring men for promotions in engineering roles.
"Damore, Gudeman, and other class members were ostracized, belittled and punished for their heterodox political views, and for the added sin of their birth circumstances being Caucasians and/or males", the lawsuit says.
James Damore, a former Google engineer who was sacked after he wrote a controversial memo claiming that biological differences between men and women might explain why there's a gender gap in tech, is alleging in a lawsuit that the tech firm discriminates against men, conservatives and white people.
In response to the lawsuit, Google kept it brief. Google also allegedly awarded "Peer Bonuses" to employees who disparaged Damore.
Google spokesman Ty Sheppard previously told CNNMoney that the company has strong policies against workplace retaliation, harassment and discrimination.

The former Google engineer who was sacked over a memo he wrote that suggested biological reasons are behind the predominance of male engineers at the company filed a lawsuit in state court on Monday.
Damore clarified his views in an interview with CNNMoney, noting that he was not "saying anything about the women at Google".
Gudeman worked at Google from 2013 until December 2016, when he claims he was wrongfully terminated from the tech company, according to the complaint. The duo claims that Google discriminates against white male conservatives.
This isn't much of a surprise, considering Damore publicly hired Harmeet K. Dhillon, the Republican National Committee's Committeewoman for California, back in August as his attorney.
