They circulated pictures of Ahed when she was a little girl raising a fist in front of Israeli soldiers.
In the video, Ahed is seen approaching the soldiers along with two other girls and then hitting them.
Ahed Tamimi, the 16-year-old filmed slapping two Israeli soldiers Friday, was arrested Tuesday following the West Bank striking incident in the village of Nabi Saleh.
On Monday night, the army balanced the scales by arresting the girl who had instigated the troubling encounter.
Her father claims the video was filmed immediately after Israeli forces fired tear-gas canisters at their home.
"A large Israeli force raided our house at dawn and arrested Ahed while she was sleeping in her bed", Basem al-Tamimi told Anadolu Agency.

Though the video has been hailed by Tamimi's supporters as a fearless act in the struggle of the Palestinian people, the viral video has also been used by pro-Israel voices who instead saw the clash as a display of "IDF restraint and professionalism", the Post reported.
