Today marks the beginning of a new era of personal computing and ASUS is proud to be paving the way with Qualcomm Technologies and other companies to develop this new landscape for "Always Connected" Windows on Snapdragon PCs. They all support standard Windows 10 features, such as a touchscreen, Windows Hello, and pen input. The device comes pre-loaded with Windows 10 S. Additionally, these type of PCs can run either Windows 10 or Windows 10 S: the first models from Asus and HP will actually run the more secure Windows 10 S out of the box, but customers will be able to upgrade to Windows 10 Pro for free for a limited time. Still, it's pretty thin and light.
Along with a range of 'Always Connected PCs, ' Qualcomm also announced its next-gen Snapdragon 845 SoC. Xiaomi also confirmed that the company's next flagship smartphone will be powered by the new mobile platform. The Envy X2 is very similar to numerous Surface Pro types of computers that already exist, while the NovaGo feels just like any other budget to midrange laptop.
Asus tells us that it will also offer a 128GB of storage option, and there may be a 6GB of RAM configuration available too, but it will vary depending on regions and what retailers want in terms of spec.
