After a traditional Euro 2020 qualification determines the first 20 participants, UEFA will use the Nations League tables to determine the last four teams to join them - one from each League.
League A: Germany, Portugal, Belgium, Spain, France, England, Switzerland, Italy, Poland, Iceland, Croatia, Holland.
The victor of each of the four groups will be drawn to face each other in a Euro 2020 play-off.
The top four-ranked League B teams that do not qualify for Euro 2020 will enter play-offs in March 2020, with one finals place on offer.
The winners of the inaugural tournament will be decided between the winners of the four groups in League A in June 2019, with two semi-finals, a third-place play-off and a final being played.
Wales just missed out on League A, edged out by Netherlands, with Republic of Ireland and Northern Ireland also in League B with them.

Teams will be drawn into four groups of four.
Today it was announced which teams will feature in the four leagues.
The January draw will see the Leagues (A, B, C and D) divided into 16 groups of three or four teams, with A being split into four groups of three teams, B the same, C into three groups of four and one of three, and D into four groups of four.
League C contains Hungary, Romania, Scotland, Slovenia, Greece, Serbia, Albania, Norway, Montenegro, Israel, Bulgaria, Finland, Cyprus, Estonia and Lithuania.
Division D: Azerbaijan, Macedonia, Georgia, Belarus, Armenia, Faroe Islands, Latvia, Luxembourg, Kazakhstan, Moldova, Liechtenstein, Malta, Kosovo, Andorra, San Marino and Gibraltar.
Uefa says teams in three-sided groups will play on four of the six matchdays. The four group winners will be promoted to League C for the 2020 edition.
But, for fairness, any team that wins their Nations League group will not be "promoted" into a play-off in a league above their own.
