The low-priced carrier Frontier Airlines announced Tuesday 10 new nonstop destinations from Long Island MacArthur Airport, including flights to New Orleans, Chicago, Detroit, Charlotte, Atlanta and Minneapolis, along with four Florida cities.
Starting August 16, the large green letters of Frontier Airlines will be taking off at its newest destination, beginning to phase in 11 direct routes and bringing 10 new destinations to MacArthur Airport.
Last month, Allegiant Airlines announced it will begin nonstop service on October 6 between Boise and Phoenix-Mesa Gateway Airport.
"Low fares done right" was how James Fenner, Frontier's director of financial planning and analysis, described the air carrier's approach to air travel.
"We project this will save our customers over a billion dollars annually on their flights", Frontier CEO Barry Biffle said in a statement.
The airline made the announcement Tuesday afternoon that service from CVG will begin soon to the following cities: Austin, Jacksonville, Miami, Raleigh/Durham, San Antonio and Seattle.
