Microsoft is clearly getting desperate to shore up the number of users adopting its Bing search engine, and is now offering United Kingdom users points in return for searches made on the platform which can be traded in for music, movies and more.
Among the rewards available for users are gift cards, Xbox games, Skype credit, entries into giveaway competitions and even discounts on hardware purchased from Microsoft.
The Microsoft Rewards programme launched in the United Kingdom on June 1 - and it will also be rolled out in France, Germany and Canada in the next few months.
Microsoft has plans of introducing this scheme to France, Canada and Germany very soon. At level 1 you earn 3 points per Bing search, but this maxes out at 30 points per day. Obviously, you can create a free account if you don't have one.
