President Donald Trump is expected to retain Marc Kasowitz as his private attorney during the investigations into possible ties between his campaign and Russian Federation, sources told NBC News.
Fox Business News and ABC reported that Trump has hired Marc Kasowitz, a New York-based trial lawyer known as an aggressive litigator, to represent him in an Justice Department investigation headed by former Federal Bureau of Investigation Director Robert Mueller.
Kasowitz is a NY attorney who also represents ousted Fox News personality Bill O'Reilly.
Some have argued this shouldn't be an issue, since Lieberman didn't work on any Trump-related cases, and the firm employs around 270 lawyers. "They're highly talented with great insight into the future", Trump said. But campaign finance lawyers said Trump could probably draw funds from his reelection committee to cover legal expenses related to the Russian Federation inquiries, including money donated this year.
Trump's decision to hire outside counsel comes as the investigation into his associates' ties to Russian Federation ramps up with the appointment of special counsel Robert Mueller, a former FBI director. It was not immediately clear if Kasowitz would be working with other lawyers that have been considered for such a team.

German Foreign Minister Asks US for Help in Airbase Row With Turkey
The refusal was communicated to Germany's ambassador over the weekend, Foreign Ministry spokesman Martin Schaefer told reporters. Turkey has blocked a request for German politicians to visit the country's soldiers at an air base in Incirlik, officials say.
"Trump needs a lawyer with a lot of experience in dealing with what I like to call the Bermuda Triangle - the overlapping of Congress, the special counsel, and the media", Bennett said.
His firm, which has offices across the country, has a handful of former federal prosecutors, including Edward E. McNally, who is said to be a front-runner for US attorney for the Southern District of NY.
Kasowitz and a representative for his firm did not return requests for comment. The report said Moscow eventually developed a preference for Trump.
After Trump won, Lewandowski opened Avenue Strategies, a consulting firm with Barry Bennett, who formerly managed Ben Carson's unsuccessful bid for president. He's also one of Trump's top picks to replace James Comey, the man who was leading the investigation into Russian meddling in the election. The White House did not respond to requests for comment about how the president planned to pay for this legal brain trust, but one can only assume that his recent flurry of fundraising emails referencing what he has described as a political "witch hunt" is one way Team Trump is planning to foot the bill.
