A young boy whose body was found in a vehicle stolen by thieves while he was still in it was shot to death, authorities said.
Our Raycom sister station WLBT reports investigators said Kingston Fraizer was inside a gray Toyota Camry bearing MS license plate HYX 783 in a Kroger parking lot around 1:15 a.m. A second vehicle believed to be involved is a light-colored, two-door sedan. The auto was later found abandoned in a muddy ditch in the suburb of Gluckstadt.
But at around 9.30am the authorities confirmed to local news site The Clarion-Ledger that Kingston was found dead with a single gunshot wound, still in his mother's stolen vehicle.
Six-year-old Kingston Frazier was last seen at a Kroger store near I-55 in Jackson around 1:15 a.m. Thursday.
Two men in a Honda pulled up, and the passenger jumped in the Camry with the child inside, The Clarion-Ledger reported.
Dwan Wakefield, 18, was taken into custody around 11 a.m.
