Once the app has a fix on you and you've logged where you parked, you can add in custom notes to help you find your vehicle. Most of us have been in the situation of not remembering where we parked, but now Google comes to our aid.
Android users get a few bonuses with this new feature.
On Android, users tap the little blue dot that marks their current location, then hit "Save Your Parking".
However, you can then tap on that label to open up what Google is calling the "parking card". You can share information with friends and view pictures of the parking area.

The Google Maps for iOS makes it very easy to bookmark your parking spot while the one for Android requires an additional step. The helpful parking location features we saw last month just became official, meaning Google Maps on Android and iOS will now remember where you parked the vehicle once you reach your destination - and it's literally a no-brainer to use on iOS, Engadget said. Users even get a reminder alert 15 minutes before the parking ticket expires. Apple Maps has a similar functionality built in. After you've parked, simply tap on your blue circle and select "Save your parking" from the menu.
That's because Google Maps is now able to remember where you parked your auto.
Also on iOS is the option to bring up the card with the various options such as sharing the location of your parking with a contact of your choosing. Next, users can add their parking location to the map. The app will automatically detect and add location of user's parking spot once they exit their vehicle, if they're connected to USB audio or Bluetooth.
