NJ Transit rail riders have several more days of hard commutes following Monday's derailment at New York Penn Station.
"NEC, NJCL, RVL and Midtown Direct rail service is suspended in/out of NYPS due to a derailed NJ TRANSIT train in NYPS", NJ Transit said on its website.
LIRR eastbound trains from Penn Station affected include those on the Babylon, Far Rockaway, Hempstead, Long Beach, Port Jefferson and Port Washington branches.
Commuter trains are still delayed a day after one derailed at Penn Station. There was no word on what caused either one of the recent derailments. No injuries were reported as a result of that collision.
