Telugu Desam Party president and Andhra Pradesh chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu has come under fire for inducting four YSR Congress party MLAs into his cabinet as part of expansion on Sunday.
Naidu, who has sacked five ministers and inducted 10 lawmakers apart from Lokesh into his ministry, has caused a degree of heartburn in his party by picking four defectors from the YSR Congress among them.
According to a report in The News Minute, Gopalakrishna, who represented Srikalahasti constituency, tendered his resignation to Andhra Pradesh Assembly Speaker Kodela Sivaprasada Rao on Sunday.
One of the dropped ministers, Bojjala Gopala Krishna Reddy, resigned from his Assembly membership. A copy of the letter was also sent to the CM. However, he said he would continue to remain a loyal to the party.
Lokesh, who was recently elected as a member of legislative council under the MLAs' quota, was administered oath of office and secrecy by governor ESL Narasimhan at a function held on the premises of Andhra Pradesh secretariat at Velagapudi in the new Andhra capital Amaravati.

Senior leader from Guntur, D. Narendra was also unhappy over being denied the cabinet berth.
