"Atomic Blonde" will also be making a very special debut at the SXSW festival this year, so if you're attending the event, be sure to keep a look out for the production. An agent of Her Majesty's Secret Intelligence Service, Agent Lorraine Broughton (Theron) is on what seems to be an impossible mission.
Atomic Blonde was first announced on May 9, 2015, when Focus Features confirmed it had purchased the rights to Antony Johnston's 2012 graphic novel The Coldest City, which the movie is based on. After an undercover agent is murdered, Broughton is sent to Berlin to team up with the city's station chief David Percival (James McAvoy) to take down the threat by any means. It shares many of its qualities with John Wick, as seen through the level of violence in the three-minute trailer and the well-choreographed fight scenes. Check out the Atomic Blonde trailer below!
John Wick is a great movie (and John Wick: Chapter 2 might be even better). And Theron probably learned a thing or two from Keanu, as the two are friends in real life.
