Gander Mountain is closing its Mankato store as it files for Chapter 11 bankruptcy reorganization and is looking to sell the company.
"With much regret, we will be closing our Chattanooga store, among 32 we'll be winding down in the coming weeks", the company said in a statement today.
The company plans to have normal business hours during the restructuring process.
Gander Mountain spokesman Jess Myers said the Wisconsin locations to close are in Eau Claire and Germantown.
The company is based in St. Paul, Minnesota.

Gander Mountain's announcement Friday comes less than a month after MC Sports filed for bankruptcy and announced liquidation sales at all its stores, including the one in Champaign. The Eau Claire location on Scully Dr.in Eau Claire is one of those stores. A press release from Gander Mountain stated it will solicit bids for a going-concern sale and expects to hold an auction for the company in late April. The winning bid will then be submitted for court approval in early May, with a closing of the sale by May 15, according to the Milwaukee Business Journal.
Employees will be paid on time and in full, employee benefits will remain in place and retirement accounts are intact and protected, the company said.
Gander Mountain was founded in 1960 and has 162 stores in 26 states.
