Even so, the Zoe e-Sport will still sprint from zero to 100 km/h in just 3.2 seconds, which is 10.3 seconds than a regular Zoe.
Renault has a history of using its Renaultsport department to create insane concept cars, and at this year's Geneva Motor Show the company has followed up the mad Espace F1 and Twizy F1 with a new ZOE concept using the firm's Formula E technology.
Not only does the e-Sport's two electric motors produce nearly twice as much power as a FE racer, it also weighs just 3,086 pounds, thanks to Renault's use of carbon fiber bodywork.
The Renault ZOE e-Sport Concept is the fully electric concept vehicle whose credentials extend beyond the car's styling and the same striking blue livery as the Renault e.dams team's front-running Formula E single-seaters. The E-sport takes on a more square and squat stance that looks suitably pugnacious in matte blue and offsetting yellow accents, mimicking the livery found on the Formula E racer.

National Basketball Association roundup: Cavaliers lose game and Andrew Bogut seconds into debut
Andrew Bogut was averaging 3.0 points and 8.3 rebounds per game for the Mavericks before getting traded to Philadelphia. It wasn't almost enough, however, as the Miami Heat had two players that outscored at least 20 twenty points.
With that heavy electric powertrain and battery pack in place, Renault has gone to extreme measures to try and keep the ZOE e-sport's weight down.
Four driving modes allow drivers to adjust the balance and bias towards power conservation or outright performance via a dash-mounted panel.
But thanks to a full Kevlar carbon-fibre body the e-Sport actually manages to weigh in 60kg lighter than its road counterpart. The e-sport concept's 1,400kg mass means it's no lightweight, but nearly a third of that comes from the car's batteries. Despite the production model influences, the ZOE e-sport will remain a one-off concept.
With the standard Zoe's chassis replaced with a tubular space frame structure, it's no surprise to hear that its MacPherson strut front and torsion beam rear axle have both been replaced by double-wishbone suspension all round. Renault opted for a pair of Recaro bucket seats with racing harness and controls inspired by the world of Formula E. No plans have been expressed for an eventual production of the concept, though. A digital dash, a rectangular steering wheel, lots of Alcantara and a few aluminium switches further cement the E-sport's race auto look.
