The New Glenn rocket - named after John Glenn, the former astronaut and US senator who was the first American to orbit Earth - will launch with a Eutelsat satellite on board in 2021.
"We couldn't hope for a better first partner", Bezos said during a keynote address at the Satellite 2017 conference.
Eutelsat Chief Executive Rodolphe Belmer said the company was convinced that Blue Origin had the "right mind-set to compete in the launch service industry".
The New Glenn rocket that will be taking up the satellite is created to take off and land vertically, so it can be reused making it a more attractive option than rockets that can only be used once. Bezos likened space tourism to "barnstorming", a practice in the early days of traditional aviation, when pilots would fly around the country, touching down in farmers' fields and giving the local kids a ride on a plane, selling tickets and bringing in interest and money to the new industry.
The deal represents a linkup between competitors to SpaceX and its billionaire founder, Elon Musk, on separate fronts: Blue Origin has vied with SpaceX over access to launch facilities, while OneWeb's proposed network is competitive with SpaceX's plans for a 4,425-satellite constellation that's also aimed at providing global internet access.
According to CNBC, the BE-4 engine is now complete and will be used to power the New Glenn rocket-a substantial rocket that will carry astronauts and payloads to low-Earth orbit destinations and beyond.
The mission to launch Eutelsat's satellite to geostationary orbit would come in 2021 or 2022.
Murray beats Verdasco to win first Dubai Tennis Championships title
The world No. 1, that's who. "It's nice to win and I played much better as the match went on", Murray said on ATP Tour website. But what of the fact that he had now won 10 titles from his last 16 tournaments, including his fourth straight 500?

PSA Group, General Motors reportedly strike a deal over Opel
Separate briefings for the German press and Opel unions are expected to be held the same day. The sources declined to give further details.
SpaceX, which has contracts with NASA and commercial satellite companies, last week said two private citizens paid a "significant deposit" to go on the week-long flight around the moon.
Dr. McDowell, who teaches at the Harvard-Smithsonian Center for Astrophysics, made clear that he had "full confidence" that SpaceX would succeed in sending space tourists around the moon, but suggested 2020 might be a more likely deadline. This second stage will be powered by just one BE-4 engine. The BE-4 engines will ultimately be bought off by ULA.
"It's really a great partnership", he said of the contract with Eutelsat.
The rocket will be capable of carrying nearly 100,000 pounds of payload into low-Earth orbit and nearly 29,000 pounds to geostationary transfer orbit (GTO), which is 22,000 miles higher.
And if there was any doubt about the gargantuan size of New Glenn, Bezos compared his future rocket to the rockets of both SpaceX and ULA to hammer the point home.
"While there is a significant risk in using a new vehicle, satellite operators have shown that they want a diverse range of suppliers and not be tied to just one or two launch providers".
